Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum print volume of the A1?

A1 offers a generous build volume with a maximum printing size of 256 * 256 * 256 mm³.

What types of filaments does A1 support?

Recommended Filaments: PLA, PETG, TPU, and dedicated support materials for PLA/PETG (e.g., PVA, HIPS).

High-Temperature Filaments: Although the A1 can print high-temperature materials such as ABS, ASA, PC, and PA, due to its open-frame design and lower chamber temperature, there is a risk of weak layer adhesion or warping when printing large models or models with high infill. It is recommended to only use these materials for small models with low infill.

Special Note: The A1 comes standard with a stainless steel nozzle. If you need to print with filaments containing hard particles (e.g., PLA-CF/GF, carbon fiber, glass fiber, glow-in-the-dark filament, etc.), please be sure to switch to a "hardened steel nozzle" to prevent excessive nozzle wear.

Can I install a closed-back enclosure (sealed box) for the A1?

We do not recommend using the A1 in an enclosed space. The A1 is designed with an open-frame structure, and its heat dissipation and moving parts are optimized for this environment. Enclosing it may lead to poor heat dissipation or affect print quality.

A1 Can multiple AMS lites be connected to achieve 16-color printing?

The A1 currently only supports connecting one AMS lite, with a maximum of 4-color printing.

Can I mount the AMS lite on the A1's gantry to save space?

Yes, you can. You can go to MakerWorld to download the officially provided stand model and refer to the relevant tutorials to complete the installation. This can effectively reduce the desk space occupied by the device.

If the AMS lite is installed on a beam, will the filament spools fall off or affect the accuracy of vibration compensation (resonance calibration)?

As long as it is installed correctly according to the official instructions, the filament spool will not fall even when tilted. To maintain optimal printing accuracy and vibration compensation, it is recommended to reinforce the beam's stability when installing the bracket according to the guide.
