Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum print volume of the P1S?

The P1S has a spacious print volume, with a maximum size of 256 * 256 * 256 mm³.

What types of filaments does the P1S support?

All-around Support: Thanks to its enclosed chamber, the P1S offers excellent support for PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA, PET, ABS, ASA, and more.

Engineering Materials: The P1S also demonstrates good printing capabilities for PA, PC, as well as carbon fiber/glass fiber reinforced materials.

Special Note: The standard nozzle is made of stainless steel. If you frequently print with carbon fiber (CF) or glass fiber (GF) consumables, we highly recommend upgrading to a "hardened steel nozzle" for increased durability.

How often should I replace the P1S air filter (activated carbon)?

The replacement frequency depends on your printing frequency and the type of filament used.

  • Recommended Interval: Under normal use, it is recommended to replace it every 2 to 3 months.
  • Replacement Criterion: If you notice a distinct odor during printing, it indicates that the filter element is saturated and should be replaced immediately.
How many AMS units can P1S connect to at most?

By connecting a Bambu AMS Hub, a P1S can connect to up to 4 AMS units simultaneously, achieving multi-color printing with up to 16 colors.

Does the P1S enclosure actively heat?

No. The P1S chamber temperature is generated by heat radiated from the heated bed and regulated by the built-in temperature-controlled fan. While it does not have a dedicated chamber heater, its enclosed design is sufficient for materials that require temperature control, such as ABS and ASA.
