Yes, all machines we sell support third-party filaments. Prusa machines are completely open-source, offering excellent compatibility with third-party filaments. Some Bambu Lab models require manual material settings when using non-original filaments, but their functionality is not restricted. All filaments sold in our store have been tested and can be used directly with these machines.
PLA is the most entry-level choice, easy to print, with high finished product accuracy, suitable for general models, display items, and indoor use, but has low heat resistance (around 60°C).
PETG combines the ease of printing of PLA with better toughness and heat resistance (around 80°C), making it suitable for functional parts and applications requiring a certain degree of strength.
ABS offers higher heat resistance (around 100°C) and good toughness, but requires an enclosed print chamber and is prone to warping during printing, making it suitable for experienced users or industrial applications.
Under normal use, a brass nozzle can last for hundreds to thousands of hours. However, when printing with abrasive materials (such as carbon fiber or glass fiber), brass nozzles wear out much faster, typically requiring replacement within dozens of hours. Therefore, if you plan to use carbon fiber (CF) series filaments, it is highly recommended to use a hardened steel nozzle.
The AMS purges when changing colors, which does produce a certain amount of waste (purge). The amount of waste depends on the frequency of color changes and the settings. In Bambu Studio software, you can adjust the size of the Purge Tower or enable "Flush into infill" to incorporate the waste into the infill area to reduce waste. Regarding settings, Bambu Studio's multi-color settings are quite intuitive, allowing even beginners to quickly get started.

The Assembled version is factory-assembled and calibrated. It's ready to print right out of the box, suitable for users who want to save assembly time or have little hands-on experience, but it comes at a higher price.
The Kit version requires self-assembly (approximately 2–3 hours). During this process, you can gain a deep understanding of the machine's structure, which is very helpful for future maintenance and troubleshooting. It also has a more accessible price point. Both versions are identical in print quality and specifications.
For printing nylon, it is recommended to choose models with an enclosed build chamber or those that can be fitted with an enclosure, as nylon is sensitive to environmental humidity and temperature, and open-frame models are prone to warping and print failures.
Flexible materials like TPU are relatively more forgiving, and most printer models can print them. However, it is recommended to use a direct drive extruder. Most mainstream Bambu and Prusa models currently feature direct drive, and their performance is excellent.
